Mammals
We will be adding photos of all the species we see over the coming months, if you have a nice shot you would like to share please get in touch
Fox (skeletal remains only) jaw bone and others photographed by Steve Jones 17/11/12
We found this Fox's jaw bone & selected other bits along the northern edge of the marsh today (Saturday 17th November). They had obviously been there some time and were uncovered when we cleared the bank last month. (Steve)

Roe Deer? (Tracks only) photographed by Steve Jones 20/04/13
We found this fresh deer track at the western end of the marsh. Gary's one pound coin is 2cm in diameter (I'm told real ones are about the same size!) which makes this print about 4cm long. According to the Collins Field Guide to the Mammals of Britain & Europe, the track of a Roe Deer is 4cm long & 3 wide, while a Muntjac is 3cm long. So I guess we can add Roe Deer to the species list for the marsh! (Steve)
